Netflix’s Brigands: The quest for gold”  is an ultimate thriller packed series under the direction of Antonio Le Fosse, Steve Saint Leger and Nicola Sorcinelli with the dashing stars Michela De Rossi, Ivana Lotito, Matilda Lutz, Orlando Cinque and Marlon Joubert.

Brigands: The Quest for Gold series plot takes us to 19th century Italy where the specimens and land of rome was synthesized and known to be ruled by the Brigands or Briganti. Filomena gives up her comfortable but boring existence to go treasure hunting, using an old map as a guide to discover a substantial amount of wealth.

She is not alone in this endeavor; the military and some of the area’s most known gangs are looking for it. The woman joined the group to pursue freedom for her life but during her journey she is encountered with several challenges.

Filomena embarks on a perilous journey of treasure hunting and intrigue when she discovers a particularly patriotic group of brigands and decides to join them in their quest for liberation.

Brigands: The Quest for Gold (2024) Series Filming Locations

Principal location for Brigands: The Quest for Gold series was the southern province of the city. Principal photography for the show began in early 2022 and was wrapped up for the first season by August of the same year.

LECCE, ITALY

Lecce is regarded as the Florence of the South because of its rich cultural legacy, limestone structures, and Baroque architecture. The city’s Roman-era structures make for an aesthetically spectacular backdrop for the series with its evocative settings.

The city’s exquisite culture and local culture provided a unique backdrop for the movie as the city is situated close to the center. The production team utilized the magnificent spaces of the districts Melpignano and Nardò to come up with the cinematic scenes of the series.

The locations was primarily used as to depict 19th century Italy, the districts were helpful due to their ancient architectural landscapes and architecture.

We can see the Palazzo Marchesale Castriota, Via Roma, alongside the Chiesa di San Giorgio church in multiple drone shots of the area. 

Nardò is a small town with an abundance of lush lands and forests wit captivating Flora and Fauna which centered the amazing shots of the series.  It also boasts medieval architecture and palaces fit for the depicted time period.

ALTAMURA, ITALY

Another major location for the Brigands: The Quest for Gold series was the plateau region of Italy also known as Altamura which was cultivated as a unique location for the filming process of the movie. In addition, the region is well-known for its prehistoric cave homes and archaeological sites.

The Netflix series Altamura transports viewers back to bygone eras because to its admirably conserved architecture.

BRINDISI, ITALY

The coastal city of Italy also served a great metaphorical location as its is somewhere similar to the name of the movie too. Brindisi, a seaside city in the province of the same name, serves as a major filming location for “Brigands: The Quest for Gold.” Being the entry point between Italy and the eastern Mediterranean, Brindisi has long been a significant port city.

The city gives us an ancient blnd of modern architecture making it a treasure troop island which was perfect to depict the theme of the story.
