“Float.” Wattpad has been setting a huge craze nowadays among the writing industry. There are many swoon worthy novels , steamy fanfics, dark romance, basically covering all the genres. Among them there are many heart-touching novels which have made viewers feel single again.
Float Movie Plot
Adapted from a wattpad story by Kate Merchantpotrays a character of Waverly (Andrea Bang) who has a strained connection with her parents. Her future plans are almost entirely prearranged, down to the last minute, as she spontaneously chooses to spend the summer in the small beach town of Tofino with her estranged aunt. She had even started her medical residency in Toronto after visiting her parents in Taipei.
Following a cute plot which is a common story among romantic readers where the lead male character saves the female character, Waverly is also saved by a local and charming lifeguard named Blake at a beach party where Waverly nearly drowns.
After their romantic encounter, Blake offers to teach Waverly to swim after the event. They surprisingly fall in love with one another as they spend more and more time together during the swimming classes. Their swooning and budding romance blossoms as they get closer towards each other. In this budding romance, Waverly’s desire to start a new career often gets in the way of it.
Float Movie Filming Locations
‘Float’ was filmed in its entirety in British Columbia, particularly in a couple of cities — Vancouver and Squamish. Principal photography began in September 2021 and was wrapped up in October of the same year.
Located in the westernmost province of British Columbia, Greater Vancouver is the primary shooting site of ‘Float.’ The picturesque city was a flourished location with a lavish backdrop creating dazzling romantic visual canvas for the series. At Whonnock Lake, a muskeg lake near Maple Ridge, in the northeastern region of Greater Vancouver, a few sequences were taped.
The beautiful lake served as a great plot setting for the movie. The lake can be seen as a charismatic background. The entire Canadian province’s shine and dazzling beauty is beautifully portrayed in the movie. The characters also did a great job in garnering viewers.
Andrew Bachelor, Rukiya Bernard, Michelle Krusiec, Sarah Desjardins, Ghazal Azarbad, and Tristan Arthurs did commendable work. The visuals of the beaches, lakes, and rich flora and fauna of the country was a visual and scenic beauty.
One can also see a handful of scenes were also shot in and around Centennial Beach at 570 Boundary Bay Road in the city of Delta, Vancity is recognized as one of the leading filming destinations across the globe owing to several reasons and set a major prominent ;location for the Float movie.
The production crew worked very hard to find the locations suitable to depict the intricate moments of the movie which was awe-some speculating the love story of WAVERLY AND BLAKE.
For another luxurious location, Squamish lying north of the coastal port city of Vancouver was used as the city had an assorted range of vanquished landscapes with a scenic medieval skyline and urbanized towns, the city help in relenting the further processing of the movie.
A handful of photos were also taken at the 100-meter-long Sky Pilot Suspension Bridge in Squamish-Lillooet D. Standing at a height of 1,000 feet, the suspension bridge offers breathtaking views of the Howe Sound fjord and the breathtaking mountain range of Sky Pilot Mountain and Co-Pilot Mountain.
The Float movie was released on February 9, 2024 and garnered a 4 star rating across all theaters round the world.
