The participants in the event are assembled on a beach in the Mexican state of Jalisco, and they are then transported to a remote island by cruise ship. Jalisco, a large and varied region in western Mexico, is made up of 125 municipalities and features beaches, plains, forests, lakes, and mountains.
The place is known for its exquisite beauty. The isolated land is filled with a great lush landscape and crystal-clear water. The contestants live in camps with only basic necessities and another which is a luxurious villa with 5-star amenities.

Jalisco is a great place to film because of its beautiful urban landscape and plenty of important cultural landmarks. The state is known for mariachi music and tequila, both of which reportedly originated here
The place proved to be one of the best location spots due to its ultimate sight-seeing scenery which can be seen in the scenic aerial drone shots which captured the flora and fauna of the city.
