They have established themselves in all fields of entertainment and are also the fastest growing industry in entertainment. From iconic and unique storylines to eye-catching visuals, one will be amazed by the amazing content the South Korean industry provides.
So, the newly launched Netflix series “Parasyte: the Grey” is a famous sci-fi horror film based on Hitoshi Iwaaki’s Japanese manga series “Parasyte” and is co-written and directed by acclaimed South Korean filmmaker Yeon Sang-ho.
The Parasyte: The Grey series has been praised so far for its amazing concept and story, but the graphics and design as well as the sets of the film are at the forefront.
The story is based on a world where some alien species also known as parasites have crossed over to conquer the human species. Parasites invade the body of their human host and turn it into a hideous beast that feeds on other people.
Their greatest strength is their ability to impersonate ordinary individuals while working together as sentient beings and learning from the brains they control.
The series features a female lead named Jeong su-in who somehow gets trapped in death and her life seemingly hangs on a small thread of life and death, but is miraculously saved by the same alien parasite who somehow gives her a new life. but she couldn’t take control of her brain.
Su-in knows that an alien species resides in her mind and the two share the same body while being able to communicate with each other. After unknown parasites brutally take over human hosts and gain power by perfecting their minds, humans must rise up and fight them.

And when alien species discover the human species as a thread. Jeong Su-in becomes essential to turn the tide as a competent group known as the Grays lead an operation against an alien threat in disguise.
Parasyte: The Grey Movie Filming Locations
South Korea
The metropolitan city, which is every kpop/kdrama fan’s dream location, was the primary filming location for the movie. The storyline is also set in an urban part of the city, so it was necessary to show the same backdrops for the setting of the film.

Filming for the show began in August 2022 and was completed for the first season by the end of that year. In the series, we can identify many locations, such as the stadium, where an invasion of this kind is filmed.
The stadium seen here is the Seoul Olympic Stadium, located in the heart of the city at 25 Olympic-ro, Songpa-gu. Several other landmarks and tall skyscrapers representing the bustling metropolis can also be seen in various scenes of the film.

Climax studios and Wow point worked together as production teams to make the film work. The Parasyte: The Grey series was a hit and was also praised by other filmmakers.
The cast also did a commendable job including renowned actors Jeon So-nee, Koo Kyo-Hwan, Lee Jung-hun in lead roles and Kwon Hae-hyo, Yoon Hyun-gil, Lee Hyun-kyun, Moon Ju-yeon in supporting roles.
