Based on the 1980s television series, “The Fall Guy” is an action-romantic movie under the creative direction of David Leitch, starring Ryan Gosling and Emily Blunt in the lead roles of Colt Seavers and Jody Moreno, respectively.
The Fall Guy film follows Colt Seavers, a Hollywood stunt performer, who works as Tom Ryder’s stunt double after he gets injured during a stunt. 18 months later, Gail Meyer, Tom’s film producer, invites Colt to join her first film, Metalstorm, in Sydney, Australia.
Colt discovers Tom has disappeared after getting involved with drugs and wants to find him before the film’s cancellation. Colt and Jody rekindle their relationship, but Gail informs him he must return to the US.
Colt and Dan Tucker find Tom hiding on a yacht, and he reveals Gail is framing Colt for the crime using deepfake technology. Tom reveals that Colt and Henry’s “accidents” were orchestrated by himself. Colt escapes and swims to safety.
The next day, Tom arrives at the Metalstorm set, and Colt and Jody convince him of his innocence.
The Fall Guy (2024) Movie Filming Locations
Filming for ‘The Fall Guy’ took place in the Australian city of Sydney, starting in October 2022. After about four months of shooting, the principal photography came to an end in February 2023.

The production team ventured out to the lavish city and majored in some of the great locations which they further used as the cinematic backgrounds for the romantic saga. The practical stunts and all the choreography took place here.
The production team restricted local movement on the Sydney Harbour Bridge for a few hours during the day to carry out the shooting of the film. The famous steel arch bridge is well known across the world for providing amazing all-encompassing views of the city.

Another captivating location was the Disney Studios situated at Building 16 at 38 Driver Avenue in Moore Park in the heart of Sydney.
The popular pedestrian street mall, Martin Place (formerly Moore Street) in Sydney’s central business district, also appears in a few shots in the The Fall Guy film while building the panoramic view and promoting the tourism of the country.
The Northern Beaches region in Northern Sydney as well as the suburb of Kurnell were also lensed and acted as a backdrop for the movie. The cast and crew were seen taping the exterior shots primarily at the Dawes Point Reserve on Hickson Road.

Another iconic backdrop which can be easily recognized by the viewers is the famous Sydney Opera House at Bennelong Point on the edge of the Sydney Harbour. Additionally, the Wynyard rail station, and the Wynyard bus stop on Carrington Street all appear to have been the locations of filming.
Rushcutters Bay and a tiny street next to the Capitol Theatre served as the backdrop for multiple outside action scenes starring Ryan Gosling and were included in the film as well. The cast also took over the Elizabeth Street to lens some amazing shots.

Many other prominent sites such as Circular Quay and Martin Place and the Kimpton Margot Sydney at Lobby/339 Pitt Street in Sydney. Can also be seen in the key scenes of the The Fall Guy movie.
Further scenes from “The Fall Guy” were also shot in and around Pyrmont’s Sydney Wharf Apartments, located at 56–56A Pirrama Road, as well as North Narrabeen Beach. Kurnell’s Boat Harbour and Potter Point served as stand-ins for the desert setting used in an explosive stunt scenario.
