Hotel Barceló where the main and pivotal scenes were filmed was painted pink top to bottom on the ocean side and inside and retro-fitted with 80s interior and exterior décor to give it the vibrant, hot 80s look.

A few scenes are taped on the boardwalk located at Mástil 14 in Marina Vallarta. The Westin Resort & Spa in Puerto Vallarta, located at Avenida Paseo de la Marina Sur 205, is where the crew really shot the installment.
Similar to Barceló Puerto Vallarta, a beach resort, this opulent property is likewise painted pink to serve as a stand-in for the Los Colinas Resort while the show is being filmed. That may explain why Acapulco’s actual location is in Guerrero, not Jalisco, a different state where production was centered.
