Deep Fear Thriller Movie Filming Locations
‘Deep Fear’ movie was filmed around the Mediterranean Island nation of Malta, and not the Caribbean as portrayed in the movie.
Malta, or the Republic of Malta, is its own country in the Mediterranean Sea. It consists of three inhabited islands: Malta, Gozo, and Comino. The shooting there was thrilling yet dangerous with the tremendous weather conditions unfolding in their own way while one cannot explain the weather along the oceans. The harsh weather conditions made it difficult for the actors to shoot.
The principal shooting was held at the capital city of Malta which is Valletta. It is also recognised by UNESCO as one of the World Heritage Sites. Valletta has a prolific cultural heritage, a vibrant arts scene, and numerous museums showcasing local art and history. Whether you’re a history buff or simply looking to immerse yourself in the local culture, Valletta is an incomparable destination.
The other supreme location was Kalkara, which casted the main scenes of the movie. With the help of art and technology and the advantage of the seaside location, the studios did a great part in upbringing the natural water scenes.
It houses one indoor tank and two large outdoor water tanks built along the coast, having the open ocean as a natural horizon. The film crew members of ‘Deep Fear’ were seen making extensive use of the outdoor tanks of the facility to simulate their waterborne scenes.

The rest of the Deep Fear movie was also shot across the mediterranean sea and not in the Caribbean waters. The production house did a big hit in supporting all the shooting sites and providing scenetic and amazing sea- shots.
Although the movie didn’t garner more ratings than expected but thoroughly it is still pretty much fun to watch.
