“Ricky Stanicky,” a comedy film directed by Peter Farrelly, tells the story of three friends who employ an eccentric performance to play their alter ego after they go too far in utilizing an imaginary friend as an alibi. To get out of trouble, Dean (Zac Efron), JT, and Wes concocted Ricky Stanicky.
Twenty years later, the three grown pals still depend on Stanicky’s character to get them out of sticky situations and to give them a reason to travel and have parties without their wives and families knowing.
The story follows three childhood friends, Dean, Wes, and JT, who create a fictional character named Ricky Stanicky to avoid responsibilities and consequences for their pranks. Over the years, they continue to use Ricky as an excuse for their actions.
