“The Beautiful Game” is a melodramatic sports drama based on a true story that shows the heartwarming and inspiring story of a homeless English soccer team on their way to Rome to compete in the Homeless World Cup.
The tournament is a special tournament that includes several soccer “hobos” teams from around the world and the tournament is held in the ethnic city of Rome.
Coach Mal is in charge of England’s homeless soccer team, which includes the gifted but unstable striker Vinny, as they prepare for the annual Homeless World Cup in Rome.
Vinny is a troublemaker who joins the team but hasn’t gotten over his past insecurities and has trouble synchronizing and getting along with his teammates.
He acts like a mean boss who owns the team and his teammates aren’t too happy about it. Although in the end he was happily welcomed by his teammates.
When the participants arrive in Rome and start the game, The Beautiful Game movie takes us on a tour of the wonderful historical sites in the area. With such breathtaking scenery serving as the film’s backdrop, questions may arise about the specifics of the locations used for filming.
Directed by Thea Sharrock and written by Frank Cottrell Boyce, the film is an amazing film. The cast includes Valeria Golino, Bill Nighy, Tom Vaughan-Lawlor and many more.
The Beautiful Game Series Filming Locations
The Beautiful Game film was largely shot in ethnic Rome, Italy, but little footage was captured in London, England, the team’s birthplace. Filming began on July 23, 2021, and ended in Rome on October 11, 2021.
LONDON (ENGLAND)
Much of The Beautiful Game film was shot in the beautiful countryside of London. This fascinating country was a special place to shoot the film. Many skyscrapers and iconic landmarks can be seen in the sets of the film.
The famous London skyline can be seen in the background shots of the characters playing football on their football pitch, with a number of buildings lighting up the horizon.
ROME (ITALY)
Rome is well known for its beautiful architecture, historical culture and beauty. Several scenes were shot there. The cast and crew traveled to Rome to capture beautiful scenes for The Beautiful Game film. The shooting took place in and around the city. Rome is the capital of Italy.
It is a long Mediterranean European country that has left quite a strong imprint on its culture and strong cuisine. The authentic atmosphere had a strong impact on The Beautiful Game film.
The next half of the film shows us an abundance of footage of the ancient monuments of Rome, which lead us to the amazing combination of the film’s climax.

Many other teams from around the world were also featured, such as the Japanese team, which was shown in front of the Colosseum, a symbol of the majesty and power of classical Rome. Along with the bridge of St. Angelo we can see the Angel’s Castle, at the gate of which a considerable group of people is gathering.
The Roman emperor originally ordered the fortress to serve as a mausoleum for himself and his family. Another famous place that appears in the sequence is the Pantheon, an incredible piece of Roman architecture from ancient times that serves as a temple for all the gods.
The football matches themselves take place on the Parco della Mole Adriana Gardens route, which is bordered by trees. Castel Sant’Angelo towers over the matches in the background. The gardens are designed to resemble stars set against the Tiber River.

The Beautiful Game location was ideal for holding matches; it was a large area covered with vegetation and marked by an ancient monument.
As the team roams the local market, we witness another landmark, the monumental staircase that connects Piazza di Spagna with Piazza Trinità dei Monti, located in the heart of Rome’s historic center. The teams create a spectacular scene when they also visit the Trevi Fountain.
One of the most famous and admired monuments in Rome is the Trevi Fountain, which depicts the Roman god of the sea, Neptune.

Another wonderful place to see Vinny’s solo stage is the Terrazza Belvedere Aventino, a picturesque terrace located on the Aventine Hill, a breathtaking tourist destination in Rome. The terrace gives us a picturesque view of the city and has its own charm sewn into the staircase.
