“Civil War.” A 2024 dystopian film under the creative direction of written during the premarital war period of U.S. The film shows a group of Journalists who haze the unbothered streets of Washington while reporting the atrocities of a civil war between the US government and regional factions is escalating, with the president claiming victory is near.
War photographer Lee Smith and colleague Joel plan to interview and photograph the president before the city falls. They meet their mentor Sammy, who invites them to Charlottesville, where the Western Forces are assembling for a final offensive.
The group stops at a rural gas station and witnesses tortured men being tortured by car wash owners. Jessie, a photographer, captures the militia executing captured loyalist soldiers. They witness sniper battles and develop a mentorship under Lee.
As they arrive at the WF military camp in Charlottesville, the group grieves, with Lee taking a photo of Sammy’s corpse but later deleting it. They follow the WF into Washington, where Jessie’s photography becomes increasingly risky.
The president’s limousine crashes, and Lee leads her group inside the building. A WF squad faces off with the remaining Secret Service, including one in the pressroom. Jessie exposes herself to gunfire to get a photo of the ensuing West Wing gunfight.
The president is captured in the Oval Office, and Joel tells them to wait for a quote.The cast includes Kirsten Dunst, Wagner Moura, Cailee Spaeny, Stephen McKinley Henderson, Sonoya Mizuno, and Nick Offerman.
Civil War (2024) Movie Filming Locations
The majority of the “Civil War” filming was done in Atlanta and Hampton, Georgia, with additional locations used in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, and England.
Atlanta, Georgia
The Civil War movie also included backdrops from other parts of the nation, such as the cityscapes of New York and Washington, D.C. Principal photography began in mid march 20222 and was successfully filmed in the last week of June in the same year.

The main location for the shoot was the esteemed Tyler Perry studios, The studio, which also serves as the series’ production firm, is located at 315 Deshler Street South West. The site is located on a former army installation and spans 330 acres.
It includes various standing sets, such as a residential neighborhood, an airport terminal, a golf course, a strip mall, two baseball fields, and a near-exact reproduction of the White House. The facility has twelve soundstages ranging from 10,000 to 38,500 square feet.
Due to its large capacity and exciting shooting halls it has been a home to numerous movies such as, “Zombieland”, “Red Notice”, “Blade” etc. The major part that made the studios a perfect location was that the studios complete replica of the White House, including the exterior of the building and the interior of the Oval Office.

The scene in which the soldiers of the alliance invade the White House was filmed on the studio’s standing set. The Big Bethel AME Church, located at 220 Auburn Avenue Northeast, and Alonzo Herndon Stadium, located at 41 Sunset Avenue Northwest, are also featured in the Civil War movie.
Philadelphia, Pennsylvania
Filming took place in Philadelphia to replicate a realistic setting, as the city plays a significant role in the protagonists’ journey, representing about half of the distance to their goal.
